My girlfriend and I are heading to Laos for a blisfull two week break from the daily grind! Plan to head to Luang prabang, vang vieng and the area around pakse.
While in luang prabang, i am looking for an amazing place to stay: big stone bath, deluxe breakfasts in the mornings, beautiful architecture, nice view are the things that come to mind.
La residence looks in a league of its own but just wondering if it is really worth the money and if there wasn%26#39;t an equal or better experience to be had somewhere else??????
Happy to blow the budget for luang prabang - assuming this is the only/best area in Laos where you can splurge on luxury.

This is an Orient Express Hotels property with wonderful ambiance and service. Not right in town but easy enough to get to and free tuk tuk to and from.
