Mid-range fabulous hotel?

My husband %26amp; I will be returning from a trek and would like to stay in a somewhat upscale hotel or guesthouse...under $80 US per night. We enjoy charming, boutique style hotels...a pool would be nice.

Does anyone have any recommendations?

Try the Three Nagas. It is a bit over your price range, but you may be able to get a discount. The food is great.

Thanks so much, I%26#39;ve looked at the 3 Nagas, looks amazing! Has anyone heard of the Satri House or Lotus Villa, they get good reviews, but seem ok.

I have a similar desire around price range, boutique hotel and have gone for the lotus villa - will be staying there in a week, so excited!

We stayed at the Lotus Villa in September and thoroughly enjoyed it. It does not have a pool though. Breakfast was very good, your choice of several different preprations of egg. The rooms were on the smaller side and somewhat dark, although very clean. Bathrooms are wet-style (no curtain/walls for shower in bathroom) and the sink was in the main room area. We enjoyed sitting on the balcony to read or have breakfast if it was raining. The staff is great and the Australian owner was very helpful in providing dining suggestions.

We also saw Satri House %26amp; 3 Nagas, both of which looked nice as well. I have a feeling most hotels that are in this price range in LP will fit the bill of boutique %26amp; charming.
