I%26#39;ve found bits and pieces of info on the international bus from Ubon to Pakse over at travelfish etc. but does anyone know if it%26#39;s possible to book this in advance. We want to try and make it from Bangkok to Pakse in one day by taking the fast (8 1/2 hours) day train (DRC#21) from Bangkok to Ubon and then the international bus. The train is supposed to arrive at Ubon at 14:20 and I think the last international bus departs Ubon at 15:30, so assuming the train is on time we have just over an hour to make it to the bus.
The international bus is basically to cater for tourists I believe so I%26#39;m wondering if the bus waits for the train if the train is late. Does anyone know if this is the case?
