Lao Airlines - Please Help :)

Hi Everyone,

I%26#39;m in need of your expert help here!! I%26#39;m in the middle of planning a trip to Laos in February 2009 for 2 adults in our 20s. We%26#39;ll be in Thailand for 2 weeks first (all flights in Thailand are booked) and we were planning on flying direct from Chang Mai to Luang Prabang on Feb 14 (on Lao Airlines). We were going to stay in LP for 4 nights till Feb 18 and then fly to Vientiane for a 2 night stay (using Lao Airlines again). Our plan was then to fly back to Bangkok on Feb 20 on Lao Airlines before flying home to Australia on the 21st (flying Thai - already booked).

I began booking the flights on the official Lao Airlines website, which was fine until I got to part where you tick the box saying you agree to conditions. I read the conditions and it said that fares (Economy saver and economy semi-flexible) have a 3 day minimum stay (in destination city?). This is fine for LP but doesn%26#39;t work with out stay in Vientiane (as it apparently needs to be 3 x 24 hour periods) or Bangkok as we fly out the following day. I haven%26#39;t been able to find a way to select a fare option that doesn%26#39;t carry this minimum stay.

So, can anyone advise if this condition is enforced?? If so, can anyone recommend other travel options/ways to get around this?? All I can think of is spending 3 nights in both LP and Vientiane, and flying back to Bangkok with Thai. Any other ideas??

Thanks in advance.

Didn%26#39;t you post this exact same inquiry on Thorn Tree???

Lao Airlines - Please Help :)

I did post the same topic on Thorn Tree - I%26#39;m sorry if it tires some people out, but that was not my intention. I was unaware that the 2 forums were linked and I was just trying to reach a wider audience because I was stuck with what to do. I had already spoken to 2 travel agents regarding this issue, without success and was just hoping for a definite answer from someone.

What nasty responses. Are we are NOT ALLOWED to post on two forums at one time? Are you two the hall monitors for this forum???

You can do what you want, but it gets tiring to read the exact same post 3 or even 4 times sometimes...

Groovy-

The two forums are not linked but I just happened onto this thread and noticed the same thing, after I though you had some good advice from TT and was wondering why you%26#39;d posted it again. No worries...

';What nasty responses. Are we are NOT ALLOWED to post on two forums at one time? Are you two the hall monitors for this forum???';

Some of us post on many forums. we do so not because we like to kill time, but because we genuinely want to offer helpful advice. If a post is anwered thoroughly, then posting etiquette suggests not wasting others time by posting on another related forum and perhaps, (often), being read by the same posters. If you would rather people did not post answers, then fine. I won%26#39;t offer any advice to posts from you for example.

So what was the answer to this post??
