looking for feedback in Laos and Cambodia

We are in midst of planning trip to Laos and Cambodia and would welcome any info on following hotels. Apsara/ 3 Nagas in Luang Prabang, Auberge Sala Inpeng in Vientiane, Vansana in Vang Vieng, Bopha Angkor in Siem Riep and Khmer Royal in Phnom Penh. We would appreciate any particular raves of any other hotels in those places. We will be travelling in Dec with our youngest who is a seasoned traveller now at 15 and do not want to spend more than 100$US dollars per room/suite which we will share.

Thanks Ali Mckenzie

Can comment on the Vansana in VV. Very nice hotel right on the river with a beautiful pool.

The Three Nagas has one of the best restaurants in Asia on its premises. The hotel is nice also.

We stayed at the Apsara and enjoyed it. We had an upstairs room above the restaurant. It looks over to the area across the river and you can also watch the locals playing bocce or boules (?) from the balcony in the afternoon. The people at the hotel were helpful and friendly. The room was very large. Could order eggs however you like for breakfast. We ate at 3 Nagas and it was very good and their hotel is very nice looking.

In Siem Reap we stayed at Hotel de la paix. It%26#39;s very nice and close to bar street. If you stay here, sign up for the small hotels of the world preferred guest card, its free, and they%26#39;ll upgrade you to a suite if its available. Dinner on the swings was really nice (see their web site) and they made a great cake for my husband%26#39;s birthday.

It%26#39;s a wonderful part of the world to travel. Have a great trip.

Remember to reconfirm your flight times the day of the flight. They are always changing.

We just walked by the Auberge Sala Inpeng in Vientiane it is so cute! Really charming and great location, the room itself did not impress me so much but I%26#39;m a tough sell... Enjoy

We%26#39;ve just come back from Cambodia and Laos - stayed at Sala Inpeng and it was perfect! Clean and comfortable, staff very friendly although very little English. Each morning woke to find the table on our balcony set for breakfast and as soon as we made an appearance they brought us juice, coffee, croissants, bread and fresh fruit - all for just $25 a night. Good location aswell.

In Siem Reap we stayed at The Villa and booked one of their packages. Another good hotel with a clean and comfortable room and extremely helpful and fiendly staff.

Enjoy your trip - we had a wonderful time!
