Does anyone know if you can purcase e-tickets from their website or will you have to pick up tickets from country of departure?
Lao Airlines
You can, just make sure that you don%26#39;t book on the dodgy web site which is run by a Frenchman and has NOTHING to do with Laos Airlines.
Lao Airlines
Read the detailed postings on this subject on March 16th.
You can safely book etickets on line with the correct site and browser.
I have booked 2 flights on their website. Hanoi to Vientiene and Vietiene to Luang Prabang. e=tickting was not a problem.
Don%26#39;t know if anyone else is having trouble with the Lao site but I can%26#39;t seem to get anything to happen! I need a flight from Pakse to Vientiane in July - no schedules for that time on the site so I emailed them a number of times and have just had a reply with schedules and price and told to book on the site.
Well, schedule they emailed is I think the one from Vientiane to Pakse but thats okay - really only needed the days - time can wait - but the site just doesn%26#39;t do anything with the domestic bookings - I load in what I want to book and then it just doesn%26#39;t go anywhere- any ideas anyone?
which browser are you using to access the site? Online booking seems to be functional only with Internet Explorer, will not work with FireFox and maybe others as well.
you need internet explorer to work the Lao airlines site but if you are spending some time in vientianee first its cheaper to bookit there at lao airlines office website quoted $358 RT BKK/VTE, booked in VTE$120 each way, booked at BKK airport 4000 baht each way or theres a list of travel agents on the website that will do it for you, make sure you are going to laoairlines.com not lao-airlines.com or lao-air.com, the 1st is the official site 2nd is a french travel agency, 3rd is commercial helicopters
Thank you for your replies. I have made sure to use the official site but was using Firefox so will swap over for that site.
Unfortunately we are going from Thailand into Lao and to Pakse before Vientiane so need to get a ticket before we get to Vientiane. Lao airlines did reply to an email with a ticket price of US$107 so I guess thats the best we can do. Don%26#39;t want to leave it until we are in Pakse as the July schedule is only a few days a week and if its full up we%26#39;d have to wait around longer than we can really afford (or catch the bus which seems to have very mixed reviews and takes ages).
Again thanks for advice.
