Ponsavan to Vientiane. Bus or fly?

Is there an overnight VIP bus from Ponsavan to Vientiane? What are they like? Would it be better to fly this leg?

I flew that route. Very much worth it. I believe all the buses for Phonsavan leave in the early morning (between 6 %26amp; 9am) and maybe one 4pm bus, and the trip takes 10 hours (8 on the VIP). Long distance buses in Laos, with the exception of those sleeper buses where they actually have beds, are hellish, IMO...
