Anyone know a pre-bookable room in Pak Beng?

Hi,

I have a slow boat journey going to LP staying 1 night in Pak Beng. I have heard its a mad dash off the boat as tourists fight to get a room at the end of it.

I have searched and searched and dont seem to be able to find anywhere I can pre book over the net, as I really dont fancy the hassle after a long day on a boat?

Can anyone help pls?

I don%26#39;t know if things have improved heaps over the years, but four years ago my husband dashed to the big White building on the right of coming into town and got a nice room, clean, abit noisy, but l think this whole town is noisy as the tourists just drink all night! Not much else to do.

a few other people from the boat went further afield and some did%26#39;nt do too well!
