Bangkok to Luang Prabang

Thank you for reading. We are looking to travel from Bangkok to Luang Prabang and are open to suggestions about the best way to go...train, bus, boat, or air. If boat or air, which companies are best and which are cheapest?

Bangkok to Luang Prabang

Hello!

Easiest way is with Bangkok Air. They fly direct and are cheap and if you book in enough advance time then they are the cheapest of the lot.

Laos Air also fly but we%26#39;ve heard that they are dodgy so we tend to give them a miss.

Otherwise, it is a bus from Bangkok to Vientiane and then by bus up from there.

Boats I only hear horror stories so don’t know if it’s possible.

I also avoid land boarder crossings in Asia.
