Hey,
I%26#39;m struggling to find info on acquiring a vietnam tourist visa. The closest embassy is London, I live in Scotland. On the UK embassy website it gives no pricing info.
I also need to acquire visas for Laos and Cambodia. The e-visa for cambodia sounds great as I should be crossing at the border between cambodia and vietnam that accepts it. What if the route changes on my trip though?
The closest embassy for Laos is in France which I cannot reach. Where and how can I get a visa for Laos?
Any tips, hints would be appreciated. Thanks.
Ross
Laos Visa
Forgot to add that all crossings between countries will be at borders and not at airports.
Thanks.
Laos Visa
Re Laos, you hae a couple of choices Ross. You can get a visa from france by sending the Laos embassy your passport. I always used to do this as it saves time and effort at the border crossings. When you say you cannot reach them does that mean you can%26#39;t phone them?
If you are not comfortable with this, you can get a visa on arrival at the border.
Time is of the essence so sending my passport France is not an option, also I may need to be using my passport to travel soon before going to south east asia. Do all border crossings from Vietnam into Laos allow you to purchase a visa at the crossing?
Thanks.
Ross
With regard to the Vietnam visa - just download the application form off the website, fill it in, send an sae with the fee and it is returned very quickly. Have done this many times and even though it says they will not take personal cheques I have always sent one with no problem. Contacted them recently via email regarding fees for this year. It is £38 for a single entry plus £8 (rip off!) for p+p to return it to you. Hope that is of some help.
Curny,
On arrival visa available at Wattay airport. It%26#39;s $30US as of 2002. I have not heard if this has change. I am a native laotion in the US and have known people to return to Laos regularly.
