I was wondering if anyone could recommend a decent place to get a massage that wasn%26#39;t too expensive. I%26#39;m hoping to have a massage for around $5. Is this realistic?
Also, I%26#39;m wondering which place you%26#39;d recommend for a cooking class. How long does it go for? How much does it cost? Is it worth doing? Are the groups doing it very big?
Thank you very much for your help!
Massage places and cooking classes you can recommend in LP?
Last year we participated in a four hour cooking class at Tum Tum Cheng. It cost US$25 (from memory, might have been US$20) and included a trip to Phousi market with one of the cooks, where he bought some of the herbs and vegetables for the class. There were 7 people in the group and we cooked about 8 dishes, which we chose from their recipe book. We all really enjoyed it and I recommend it wholeheartedly. Tum Tum Cheng has a web site - look them up for more detail.
There are lots of massage clinics on the main street. Ours cost (once again, from memory) about US$6 for an hour and it wasn%26#39;t that great.
Massage places and cooking classes you can recommend in LP?
We were in LP 5 nights in Jan. and had massages every day and they were great. I think around $5. Only tried one place because we were very happy with the service and atmosphere. Not fancy, but the sounds of the streets and the gentle voices of the girls were almost as relaxing as the massage. Thier conversation and soft voices were almost musical. I can%26#39;t remember the name of the place but looking at a map, I believe it was located right on the corner of Ohnkham and Ounheuan roads. It%26#39;s right on the river next to National Museum. At that time there were two massage places right next to each other. We went to the one on the corner. Good luck, and enjoy
Sorry, correction. Corner of Ounkham and Ounheuan Roads.
