Visa - Leaving Chang Mai and want to enter Laos

Hi there,

I will be travelling to Asia from Ireland in a month and have been researching the Visa situation. I have had no problem getting a visa for Cambodia and Vietnam (online) but cant see to find any info on Laos.

We want to travel from Chang Mai to Laos and were wondering and can we get visas on arrival to Laos and how long it takes to get and how you obtain one.

We just have heard a few different stories so we just want to be prepared.

i am going there as well. tomorrow i%26#39;ll stay one night at the border. and enter Laos the next morning.

i think you can get a visa easily at the border.

visa on arrival: 30 USD for 30 days.

I will also be travelling to Laos (Luang Prabang) from Chiang mai. I am travelling on a US passport and I think Ireland or a British Passport can be can also be gotten at the airport. Try the web site for the Laos consulate to see what is needed
