Thai visa available from Luang Prabang

Hello,

My husband is Maltese and therefore requires a Thai visa.

Our plan is to fly directly to Luang Prabang, head north and then go over to Thailand (so cut out Vientiane completely).

Does anyone know if Thai visas can be obtained from Luang Prabang (embassy, consulate, travel agents)?

As far as I know, the only consulate where you can apply for visa to Thailand from Laos, will be the Thai Embassy in Vientiane.

There is no consulate of Thai in LPB

I know someone in Vientiane you could arrange visa for you, but therefore passport will need to be sent to Vientiane and send back to your hotel in LPB.
