Tour of Laos - departing from Vietnam

Hi there,

I%26#39;m currently volunteering in Vietnam and will be doing some travel in July. I want to do a tour of Laos, and was hoping to find something that departed from Hanoi. Can anyone recommend a tour, or know whether I can find something decent and reasonably priced through a Travel Agent in Hanoi?

How long do you plan to be in Laos? It is pretty navigatable on your own, unless you plan on visiitng remote areas. Fly into Vientiane, for example, spend 2 or 3 days there, then fly to Luang Prabang and do the same. If you peruse sites like Travlefish, or pick up a guidebook, like the ones Lonely Planet issues, you will have a wealth of information.
