best to see
hi
i thing to expend my holiday for 1 week each country:1 week laos,1 week cambodia and 1 week vietnam, and i just wondering what is nice to see it,where to go ect.one guy from other forum said to me :vietnam is borring and is nothing interesting exept food and sea....

Rafal-
The person who said Vietnam was boring must%26#39;ve had his eyes closed the entire time, as it is a fascinating country. Here are
my thoughts-
If you consider the time you be spend getting between countries (even if you will be flying) it is MUCH TOO LITTLE TIME to attempt 3 countries! Why not pick two, for example Cambodia and Laos? You can see two cities in both Laos and Cambo., and it will give you a good taste of what each place is about. I would save Vietnam for another trip, and spend 2 weeks there. (That%26#39;s what I did, and I wished I could have stayed longer!)
hi
..it seems good for me 2 countres, and also beach time in cambodia?what is your idea for those 2 countres?could you help me litte bit?ive started searching since yesterday so i dont know to much about cambodia and laos
regards rafl
Well, what interests you? There are beaches all around the world, but there is only one Angkor Wat! There is also a heck of a lot more to do in those places than planting your butt on a beach and doing nothing. Here is a sample itinerary, have a look-
From Bangkok fly into Vientiane, Laos (or take the bus or train), and stay 2 nights. You can take a walking tour of the city, and the next day rent a bicycle and see other stuff. Great restaurants by the riverside to sit and watch teh sunset and drink beer, then have dinner!
Fly (or bus) to Luang Prabang and stay 3 nights. See the temples, absorb the laid-back atmosphere and take a couple of day trips (waterfalls, caves, trekking, villages, etc. You can organize this when you get there)
Bus it back to Vientiane (or fly) and then head to Siem Reap, Cambodia. Spend AT LEAST 3 nights there- you can buy the 3-day Angkor Wat pass, hir a tuk-tuk guy and see the sights for 3 days. After that, take the bus (5-6 hours) down to Phnom Penh and see this charming city for 2-3 dyas. The riverside is a great place to chill out for happy hour drinks!
There are zillions of things to do- you have to tell us what interests you, then we%26#39;ll give you more details later!
Oh, Rafal-
If you have a look at this site here
http://www.travelfish.org/
you can get some detailed info on both Cambodia and Laos, as well as hotel advice and transportation information.
Cheers!
..i see.i thing i have to find some books andr read first about those places and after choose what to do and see, about the flight to vientiane,do you thing would be cheeper flight from uk to bangkok and after to vientiane, then straight from uk to vientiane??
do you thing beggining of april would be good for trip?
regards
I don%26#39;t think there are any direct flights to Vientiane, you have to fly into Bangkok. You might ask your travel agent over there, they could tell you...
As for the season, December-February are best for both Cambodia and Laos, as it is dry season and the temperatures are moderate. April is the beginning of HOT season (deathly hot)in Laos and unless you are used to the humidity, it may be extremely uncomfortable.
thanks very much
