exit Laos below Pakse area??

hi can anyone tell me if its possibel to exit Laos into Thailand after visiting area below Pakse?? or does one have to exit from Ventiene? thanks K

oh i have jsut seen that there is a border crossing into Thailand west of Pakse...am i correct in thinking one can exit Laos into Thailand there? by bus? Karen
