One day layover - Choice: Vientiane or Luang Prabang?

Hi All,

I have an extra day from when I leave Hanoi and need to be in Bangkok. I wanted to stop in Laos for that one day and would like some suggestions if I should make my day stopover in Vientiane or Luang Prabang?

Vientiane is very interesting, while Luang Prabang is very interesting and also extremely beautiful. A pity to have to choose, but I%26#39;d go with LP.

Hard choice. As you have only one day, I would suggest Vientiane. Both places require more than 1 day, but I believe that you can accomplish more in Vientiane in one day than in the same time in Luang Prabang. Now if it were 2-3 days, my opinion would be different.
