there are alot of options from lao plaza, don chan palace for%26gt; $100, both newer top end, plaza is downtown DCP is about 2KMs from downtown, beau rivage is a boutique hotel for about $60, about 1 km from downtown on the river, lao orchid and inter hotel are very close to each other and about $60(inter seems to be under construction for a while now,both downtown and close to the river, lane xang hotel is downtown and %26lt;$50, older hotel with a pool, I stay there, novotel is about 2km from downtown %26lt;$100 overrated, lots of cheaper hotels and guesthouses for less but unfamiliar to me, rough guide and lonelt planet have alot of info on this, callao
