wheeled luggage or backpack

I will be traveling for 10 days in Laos, visiting several cities and taking the slow boat down the Mekong. Will lI be able to about with a carry on size wheeled luggage or would it be better to have a backpack?

Hi,

we have bought ourselves a new luggage, 3-in-1 wheelaboard with backstrap. Great! It is like a normal trolley bag or a duffle bag, with wheels and hidden backpack straps. Only problem is that it is much heavier than a normal backpack.

A combo wheeled bag/backpack is a good way to go. I have taken mine on a number of trips and find that it%26#39;s very handy to use the wheels when possible, then quickly switch to backpack mode. I think mine is a 24'; and weighs about 7 pounds, which is not too heavy.

Some wheeled backpacks don%26#39;t have hipbelts, so try to get one that does - it helps distribute the weight better.

Send me a private message if you want brand/online store recommendations.
